Think about it like this: With traditional water softeners, you’ll go through 2-5 bags of salt a month, versus with Softpro Elite upflow tech, you’ll only be going through 1-5 bags of salt a year… That’s a huge difference.

Upflow regeneration is a more precise way to recharge your resin, which means less waste and also ensures you won’t run out of clean resin and end up with hard water for a day… or two or three...

Softpro comes with next-gen sensors so when the clean resin drops below 3%, it will trigger a short regeneration to restore the system enough to get through the rest of the day until the system regenerates at its scheduled time.

Another really great feature that is exclusive to SoftPro units is 10% resin. You might be thinking, so what? Well, the resin is the tiny, clear, porous beads in your resin tank which are crucial to the ionizing process of drawing the minerals out of your water.

When resin ‘fouls’ (breaks down) you have to replace it. Resin fouls faster in water that’s high in iron or high in chlorine/ chloramine (the chemical most commonly used to ‘treat’ water), so even though your resin should last you approximately 20 years, certain conditions may cause it to last only ten or even five years or less. 

When your resin fouls, your unit won’t work and your water will be hard again. Then, you have to go through the process of diagnosing the problem (it won’t be obvious that it’s the resin) and either pay a plumber to empty and refill the tank or you can technically do it yourself. It’s kind of tricky and will take up a whole afternoon though. Also, you have to know for sure that’s the problem.

That’s why I really like that soft pro comes with 10% resin. It can last 5x as long as the traditional 8% stuff.

BONUS: The resin comes preloaded, which is another headache saver.

I’ve been in the business for thirty years, so of course, I think installation is easy, especially compared to units in the past and especially, especially because we throw in bonus quick connectors free with your purchase (just make sure to check the box that you want the at checkout) and they make the job a whole lot easier still.
