 History of Water Ionizer: 
Concept of water ionization and alkaline water technology was common in Japan and in some other parts of Asia since long. However, this concept is relatively new to USA and Europe.

The first commercial water ionizer was manufactured in the year 1950 which was used in hospitals. Due to large size, it was hardly used for domestic purposes.

Then, in the year 1958, Japanese manufacturers started producing residential water ionizers which were certified as medical devices for health improvement. On similar lines, Korea also started mass production by 1970s.
 

Process of water ionization:
Water Ionizer works on the principle of electrolysis. Electrolysis was introduced by Michael Faraday in the year 1834.

When water alkalizers are connected to the regular water faucets, they transform the normal tap water due to the process of electrolysis in which all the water pollutants and contaminants are eliminated leading to premium antioxidant levels.

The reason why Tyent USA is a preferred choice, is because its units feature large plates, thus enabling a large surface area for electrolysis. The passing of electric current through the tap water splits the water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen particles.

The water ionizer then draws off the charged water ions in order to separate them. In the process, alkaline water is created by negatively charged ions and acidic water is created by positively charged ions.
