ABOUT Oviedo is located in eastern Seminole County and is around 16 square miles in size. Currently, the populace remains at roughly 37,128, of which 79.3% are white non-Hispanic, 9.7% are black, non-Hispanic, 4.0% Asian and the staying 7.0% of the populace are different races. City Council gatherings are broadcast live on Spectrum channel 496 in Seminole County. City Manager Bryan Cobb directs the everyday administration of the City and its departments, Administration, Development Services, Finance, Fire, Human Resources, Information Technology, Police, Public Works, and Recreation and Parks. The City has two fire stations, a consumable water treatment facility, and a wastewater treatment facility. Developing COMMUNITY Oviedo is currently in a development spurt. On the north side of Mitchell Hammock Road, east of State Road 434 and flanked by the Kingsbridge West subdivision toward the east, the City of Oviedo is extending its midtown on around 50 acres. The new, blended-use advancement will highlight a private component of single-family houses, townhomes and lofts, a commercial business district and retail foundations.
