Consolidated Utility District of Rutherford Drinking Water Report Info
As Rutherford County has developed, the requirement for solid utilities has developed, as well. For any creating zone, safe drinking water is an unquestionable requirement have, and our nearby pioneers have perceived that need throughout the years. In the mid-1960s, four utility districts were made in Rutherford County: Stones River, Florence, Double Springs and Rockvale. On October first, 1968, the Double Springs and the Stones River Utility Districts converged to move toward becoming Consolidated Utility District of Rutherford County. Before long a while later, Florence and Rockvale converged with Consolidated Utility District, and the Eagleville Water Department turned out to be a piece of CUD in the mid-1990s. The 1970s saw the finishing of Interstate 24 and utilization of J. Percy Priest Lake for hydro-electrical creation and diversion. The lake would later fill another need for Rutherford and Wilson Counties as new businesses and industry entered the region, setting more requests on water frameworks. In 1978 the Board of Commissioners of Consolidated Utility District approved the improvement of designs for the development of a water treatment plant. The source would be J. Percy Priest Lake. Awards and advances were gotten from Farmers Home Administration, and in 1981, the K. Thomas Hutchinson Water Treatment Plant opened creation with the capacity to deliver 4 million gallons of water every day. A few developments and updates later, the plant will have an extreme capacity of 32 million gallons every day. Our Board of Commissioners comprises of five individuals, every one of whom is our clients. Our Board Members are President: Mr. John L. Batey Jr. VP: Dr. Rosemary Owens Secretary: Mr. Craig Lynch Mr. Carter Woodruff Ms. Lynnisse Roehrich-Patrick Advisory Member: Mr. Hassel Smith, III Advisory Member: Mr. Chip Pinion Advisory Member: Mr. Allen Swader The present lawyers are Mr. Jeff Reed and Mr. Roger Hudson. It is our crucial objective to give safe drinking water to all inside the administration territory of the Consolidated Utility District at the most sensible expense for our clients..
