Melvindale Drinking Water Report Info
Melvindale was initially shaped in the 1920s from a little homestead neighbourhood known as Oakwood Heights, it was structured via land designers to give homes to labourers in the close-by Ford Rouge plant. The name "Melvindale" originates from one of the engineers, Melvin Wilkinson. Melvindale was joined as a town in 1924. In 1933 it ended up consolidated as a city. Its most prominent development happened in the 1940s, during and after World War II, when the business and mechanical complexity of Detroit flooded to distant networks. Melvindale's ideal area at the intersection of the modern passageway from Detroit to Chicago and Detroit to Toledo made it a characteristic site for the quick business and mechanical flood of development in the decade 1940-1950. Today, constrained measures of empty undeveloped land remain. The City of Melvindale is adopting a forceful strategy to redeveloping the network through the Brownfield Redevelopment Program. Melvindale is recorded as a Core Community by the State of Michigan, which offers extra advantages to designers. The City motto is "The Little City with a BIG Heart". Melvindale is an extraordinary spot to live, work, and work together, and still has that "community" feel..
