This is the twelfth yr that the City of Moline has enlisted the actual creative talents associated with Moline-Coal Valley College District 40 college students to make our yearly water quality statement more interesting and attractive to you the water customer. 3rd-grade college students from all 10 elementary schools had been invited to create artwork relating this year’s contest theme “Protect the Source”. Brand new this year, we combined with Seton Catholic School in Moline to include their third-grade class into the annual contest; assisting to have more inclusive schooling for all the youth associated with Moline. Each of these creative young people used lively colours and ideas from their art educators to create unique pieces of art to share what they like about Moline plain. Each piece of art gives out a sensation that Moline’s drinking water comes from the Mississippi River and we should have a continuous supply of top quality safe water to sustain our nearby economy and to offer fire protection. General, the creativity as well as the thoughtfulness of these teenagers bodes well for future years of our community as well as the country. After the college students created their paintings, one winning performer was selected through each participating grammar school. The student art competition was publicly identified by Mayor Stephanie Acri and District forty Assistant School Superintendent Matt DeBaene in City Hall on, may 8, 2018, along with alderman, family, buddies, school and town staff gathered with each other to celebrate the fantastic creativity of the college students.
