Pasadena Drinking Water Company and EPAPasadena Drinking Water Report Info
A Brief History The historical backdrop of the East Pasadena Water Company and the sequence of formal procedures have been point by point in past reports by the California Public Utilities Commission Staff (the "Commission") and by the Company. The California-Michigan Land and Water Company ("Cal-Mich") was the forerunner toward the East Pasadena Water Company. Cal-Mich was consolidated on December 23, 1910. The main role of the Company was to create and subdivide lands. Be that as it may, a residential water framework was a need for the effective closeout of land, and in 1913 the Company set up such a framework and started working as an open water utility. The region initially served by Cal-Mich was known as the Michillinda Tract and comprised of around 100 sections of land. In 1913, the Commission approved Cal-Mich to broaden its administration region into a region known as South Santa Anita. To achieve this, it obtained the water-furnishing segment of the Cribb-Brodek Light and Water Company, which had procured such rights in 1902 from E.J. Baldwin. In 1930, Cal-Mich obtained the majority of the supply of the East Pasadena Water Company and associated that framework to its own. The East Pasadena Water Company served a segment of the A.B. Chapman Estate and Tract No. 4613. In 1936, the Arcadia Avenue segment was added to the Cal-Mich framework. The majority of the previously mentioned acquisitions have carried the Company to its present assistance region limits. In 1963, the Commission approved Cal-Mich to sell and move its water framework and properties toward the East Pasadena Water Company, a completely possessed backup. The Commission likewise mitigated Cal-Mich of its open utility status around then. From that point, Cal-Mich focused exclusively on its territory business. East Pasadena Water Company presently serves water to roughly 2,900 help associations. By choice 85-04-076 received by the Commission compelling January 1, 1985, the Company has under 10,000 help associations and is in this manner delegated a class "B" water utility and uses the uniform arrangement of records for Class B, C, and D water utilities..
