Municipalities throughout Ontario have been required to adhere to Ontario Regulation 170/03 made under the A safe drinking water supply Act (SDWA) seeing that June 2003. The Act was passed following recommendations created by Commissioner O'Conner following the Walkerton Inquiry. The Act's purpose is always to protect human wellness through the control and regulation of drinking water devices. O. Reg. 170/03 regulates drinking water screening, use of licensed labs, treatment requirements and reporting requirements. Section 11 of Rules 170/03 requires the proprietor to produce an Annual Statement. This report needs to include the following: 1 ) Description of program & chemical(s) utilized 2. Summary of any adverse drinking water quality reports and corrective actions a few. Summary of all needed testing 4. Explanation of any main expenses incurred to set up, repair or change equipment This total annual report must be finished by February 29th of each year. Section 22 of the rules also require an Overview Report which should be presented & approved by Council simply by March 31st of every year for the preceding calendar year. The report must list the requirements of the Take action, its regulations, the system’s Drinking Water Functions Permit (DWWP), City and County Drinking Water Licence (MDWL), Certificate of Authorization (if applicable), and any Provincial Police officer Order the system did not meet during the confirming period. The record must also specify the duration of the failing, and for each failing referred to, describe the measures that were delivered to correct the failing. The arrangement of the Historical Society was started by Ann C. Rafano and Florence Clayton in August 1988. They set up together a rundown of twelve South River occupants who they thought would have a solid promise to the protection of the historical backdrop of South River. The Society was fused on October 3, 1988 and the first trustees were: Ann C. Rafano, Robert C. Rafano, Florence Clayton, Llewellyn Clayton, Woodis Booraem, Warren Booraem, Doris Booraem, Elizabeth Chando, Kathryn Paprota, William Reichenbach, Audrey Scheidig, and Mary Weis. The Society's activities have incorporated the acquisition of two oil works of art of "The Willett Sisters of South River", and the arrangement of the Old School Baptist Church, situated on Main Street, on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places (November 19, 1991) and on the National Register of Historic Places (January 7, 1992). The Church is presently being used as a Museum and gathering place..
