Texarkana Water Utilities is a joint branch of the Cities of Texarkana, Arkansas and Texarkana, Texas whose essential capacity is to give water and sewer services to the two cities and the surrounding zone. The creation of a safe, consumable, continuous supply of drinking water at sufficient pressure to the communities we serve is our essential objective. The Utility produces drinking water from two surface reservoirs, Wright Patman in Bowie County , Texas and Millwood in Little River County, Arkansas. The Utility provides drinking water to every one of its customers and fire stream to the two Texarkanas. Texarkana Water Utilities is also responsible for the siphoning and recovery of wastewater, and a definitive disposal of the residual biosolids for the Cities of Texarkana, Arkansas and Texas in a way that is effective, earth safe, and meets all administrative organization requirements. Greenwaste is acknowledged for nothing out of pocket from the citizens of the two Texarkanas which is composted with biosolids to create a safe and significant soil conditioner that meets all state quality standards for use on lawns, gardens and interstate right of ways. Likewise, the Utility maintains a governmentally mandated Industrial Pretreatment Program, under the Engineering/Environmental Services Division, which also monitors grease trap statute requirements, as laid out by administrative agencies and oversees the state mandated reverse aversion programs. Texarkana Water Utilities provides solid waste charging and PC systems administration and support to the two Cities. What's more, compost sales, green waste disposal, residential engine oil disposal and bacteriological water testing is offered to neighborhood citizens and close by municipalities..
