Community Groundwater (Chlorine Disinfection) The District gets approximately 70% of its water products from wells located within the District. The District’s groundwater options include: Well Number 1, Well Number 5, Well Number 7, Well Number 10, Well Number 12, Well Number 18 and Well No . 19, which can be located within Placentia city limits; and Well No . 10, Well No . 15, Well No . twenty and Well Number 21, which are located within Anaheim metropolis limits. The Region uses chlorine to disinfect the good water as it makes its way into the distribution program. Imported Water (Chloramine Disinfection) The Region obtains the remainder in the water from the community wholesaler Municipal Water Region of Orange State (MWDOC). MWDOC gets water from the territorial supplier Metropolitan Normal water District of The south (MWD). MWD gets water from Upper California via the Cal Aqueduct, and through the Colorado River with the Colorado River Aqueduct. MWD owns and operates the Robert B. Diemer normal water treatment plant located just north of western Yorba Bela where the water is treated to meet moving water standards. MWD disinfects the water with chloramines, a combination of chlorine and ammonia. The Source of the Water Can Change All year round To maximize the delivery of groundwater, the District may change their functioning dynamics which will result in a source normal water change from import normal water to groundwater for different times all year round. Because your water options may vary or can be a blend of these two products, you may notice an improvement in the taste or perhaps hardness (mineral content) of the water. none of these factors impact the quality and protection of your water.
