Hydrogen being the simplest, lightest, and smallest element, is the first element of Periodic Table of Elements. It has one electron and one proton. Most of researchers claim that the visible world consists of 90 percent of hydrogen and almost all the molecules present in the living beings also have hydrogen present in it.
The molecular structure of Hydrogen is H2 and it does not have any taste, odour or colour and is non-metallic. The atomic structure of hydrogen is highly unstable due to the presence of an unpaired electron. Hence when atomic Hydrogen is formed during the process of electrolysis, it immediately reacts with other hydrogen atom to form a more stable molecular structure.
Hydrogen has become a topic of discussion due its therapeutic use and more and more scientists are now showing interest in it. It is said to have a healing effect in about 170 health related issues which includes improved metabolism and protection against any cognitive and brain disorders, positive effects on age related symptoms and the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
Properties of hydrogen that makes it effective:
1. Easy penetration and energy creation:
Being the smallest and lightest element along with its lipid solubility, hydrogen ahs the ability to easily penetrate the cells of the body. Cleveland Clinic Study
A Cleveland Clinic study showed that an alkaline diet of mostly organic plant-based foods is high in vitamin C, selenium, iron, and zinc, all of which support gut health and the immune system3. Tuft’s University Study
A study from Tuft’s University of 400 men and women who followed an alkaline diet revealed many of the foods included in an alkaline diet are nutrient-dense, low-calorie alternatives to traditional choices. That is a benefit no matter who you talk to. Also, there is a comparatively higher potassium content in alkaline diet foods. Those who ate an alkaline diet with potassium-rich fruits and vegetables had more lean muscle mass than the control group.

A study published in the Journal of Obesity5 backs that up by concluding that when you avoid foods high in omega-6 fatty acids (as in an alkaline diet), you reduce your levels of arachidonic acid, which causes the inflammation associated with heart disease and joint pain.

Alkaline water is water that has PH value of more than 7 and when the PH value of water is less than 7, it is acidic water. Alkaline ionized water is water produced by water ionizer where they increase the PH value of water from neutral to PH value 9 or more than that along with displaying negative charge(-ORP).

What is ORP?
ORP also known as Oxidation – Reduction Potential is used measure the degree of ability that a substance possesses in oxidising or reducing another substance. ORP is measured with the help of ORP meter in millivolts (mV).
Generally, most of the waters including tap water, bottled water etc have a positive ORP value and hence are oxidising agents. However alkaline water has a negative ORP value, and it can donate extra electrons which diminishes or neutralizes the harmful effects of free radicals on body and hence they are anti -oxidizing agents. Higher the positive reading of ORP value, the more powerful oxidizing substance it is. Contrastingly, lower the negative reading of ORP value, the more anti-oxidizing substance it is. Thus, a positive ORP value indicates that the substance is an oxidizing agent and the negative ORP value indicates that substance is a reducing agent.
Most types of water, including tap water and bottled water, are oxidizing agents as their ORP value is positive.
Alkaline ionized water is an anti-oxidizing agent, as it has a negative ORP value and it is able to donate extra electrons to neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals on the body. Most other types of water are oxidizing agents as their ORP is positive.
- A positive ORP reading indicates that a substance is an oxidizing agent. The higher the reading, the more oxidizing it is. As such, a substance with an ORP reading of +400 mV is 4 times more oxidizing than a substance with an ORP reading of +100 mV.
- A negative ORP reading indicates that a substance is a reducing agent. The lower the reading, the more anti-oxidizing it is. As such, a substance with an ORP reading of -400 mV is 4 times more anti-oxidizing than a substance with an ORP reading of -100 mV.

Of course, LCD screen size is more of a premium feature and not strictly necessary, but it sure comes in handy when you need to program and diagnose your unit (you might even squeal with delight like Dominik’s plumber did when you realize how easy it is to program )...
Automatic Settings
Automatic settings go hand-in-hand with upflow technology and are the other reason why this unit kicks serious water-softening butt. We’re talking vacation mode, proportional brining, automatic reserve, automatic backwash variable, automatic regeneration and automatic refresh.
Basically, what all this means is the unit does the math and calculations for you by being able to sense real usage. Since the calculations are not hypothesized or generalized, you’ll save on your water and salt usage as well as extend the life of your resin and the entire unit.
These ‘smart’ calculations also mean you should have consistently soft water since there will be no miscalculations, guesswork or need to overcompensate.
True 1" Valve Ports... High-Flow Capacity
So this is a feature that you’ll like if you have high-pressure fixtures, multiple bathrooms, and people in the house. Our other units come with a ¾” valve which is pretty much industry standard. But the 1” valve gives you a high flow rate which means you can use more water at a time without the water pressure dropping.
If you like to take strong, spa-like showers without worrying that someone’s gonna drop the pressure on you in another room, this feature comes in handy… it’s especially nice if you live in a house full of women like me 😀

Neoprene Brine Tank Guard
Most water softeners come with a resin tank and a brine tank. The brine is the saltwater solution used to rinse off and reionize the resin beads every regeneration cycle.
As you can imagine, it’s pretty corrosive stuff. (There’s a reason why car collectors don’t hunt in Ohio, am I right?).
SoftPro is our only unit that comes with a Neoprene brine protection guard which will extend the life of your brine tank by eliminating corrosion.
Another really great feature that is exclusive to SoftPro units is 10% resin. You might be thinking, so what? Well, the resin is the tiny, clear, porous beads in your resin tank which are crucial to the ionizing process of drawing the minerals out of your water.
When resin ‘fouls’ (breaks down) you have to replace it. Resin fouls faster in water that’s high in iron or high in chlorine/ chloramine (the chemical most commonly used to ‘treat’ water), so even though your resin should last you approximately 20 years, certain conditions may cause it to last only ten or even five years or less.
When your resin fouls, your unit won’t work and your water will be hard again. Then, you have to go through the process of diagnosing the problem (it won’t be obvious that it’s the resin) and either pay a plumber to empty and refill the tank or you can technically do it yourself. It’s kind of tricky and will take up a whole afternoon though. Also, you have to know for sure that’s the problem.
That’s why I really like that soft pro comes with 10% resin. It can last 5x as long as the traditional 8% stuff.
BONUS: The resin comes preloaded, which is another headache saver.

Whole House & Under Sink Water Filters
When you purchase your SoftPro unit, you’ll get the choice of adding on three different filters.
Each of these filters removes different materials and they compliment each other, meaning you can go with none, one, or all three, depending on how much you want to spend and how perfect (and pure-fect) you want your water to be.
We have customers that have had their KDF filters for 15 years and still going strong.
Even though the manufacturer says 7-10 years, we find they last twice as long as that when used with upflow regeneration.
The KDF will remove chlorine, 99% of heavy metals, and won’t let bacteria inside your system, so you’ll get good healthy water throughout the house.
The really unique thing about our R/O filtration is the addition of the alkalizing filter. Standard RO systems will lower your water’s PH to 6 or 6.0, making it acidic. You may be aware that our bodies don’t do well on acidic water as there have been lots of studies done on Reverse Osmosis (RO) Drinking Water Filters on this subject. This is why it’s important to alkalize your RO water so you’re getting pure, clean, delicious, AND totally healthy water...
Our RO system can handle 75 gallons per day of drinking water, which is more than plenty. It’s a high-efficiency system also. Most RO filters waste 3-5 gallons of water for every 1 gallon of filtered water. But our RO system is a 1 to 1 ratio, making it much more efficient.
It comes with a long reach chrome handle… but if that’s not going to match your current faucet, you can give us a call and we’ll swap out the chrome for a different color if we have it available, absolutely free.
