Consolidated Public Water Supply District No. 1 of Boone County, Mo. was framed in 1975 from the consolidation of three existing water districts: Boone County PWSD #5, #6 and #8. This consolidation denoted the first of its sort in the State of Missouri. In 2000, the District consolidated with PWSD #7 of Boone County and that was followed in 2007 by expansion of PWSD #3 of Boone County and the City of Rocheport. The District's service zone encompasses essentially the southern half and west-central portions of Boone County, the southeast corner of Howard County and a little portion of southwestern Callaway County. Today, Consolidated Water serves roughly 383 square miles. Other District Facts: - Over 8,400 water meters serving a populace of roughly 24,000. - Thirteen profound wells have a siphoning capacity of more than 11 million gallons for each day. - Twelve storerooms with an all-out capacity of 5.7 million gallons. - Over 600 miles of transmission and conveyance water mains. - Four separate weight zones with various subzones.
