About Us
For more California resources & information
In 2017, around 55% of the Associated with Pomona’s water was produced from groundwater water wells. Water from these types of wells is manufactured from three (3) groundwater aquifers: Chino Pot, Six Basins, and Spadra Basin, and they are located throughout the Towns of Pomona. Drinking water is often treated concerning the type of contaminant and concentrations found. All of us currently operate several air stripping services to remove volatile organic and natural compounds and four corpuscle exchange facilities to get rid of nitrate and perchlorate. Twelve percent of the water originates from the San Gabriel Mountain range where it moves into San Antonio Canyon. This drinking water is filtered and disinfected at the Open G. Pedley Funeral Filtration Plant. The rest of the 33% of our drinking water was State Drinking water Project water bought from Three Miles Municipal Water Area (TVMWD). TVMWD imports surface water coming from Northern California. Drinking water supplies come from northern California and are sucked from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and are sent to Southern California via the 441 miles long Washington dc Aqueduct. These resources are treated in Metropolitan Water District’s Weymouth Water Treatment Plant in the Associated with La Verne, with TVMWD Miramar Drinking water Treatment Plant inside the City of Claremont..
