On behalf of the City of Rock Hill Utilities Division, I am very happy to present the 2017 Water Quality Customer Confidence Report (CCR). This report consists of fundamental information about exactly where your water originates from, what it contains, and why that is essential. Rock Hill Resources values the reliability you put in its personnel every day to safeguard the high quality and reliability of the drinking water. As part of the guard process, Rock Slope Utilities’ staff screens the water treatment procedures 24 hours a day, 365 days 12 months. State certified providers utilize a central monitoring system to observe drinking water treatment functions, which includes storage tank amounts, and system stresses and flows. Personnel and monitoring gear also perform more than 700, 000 assessments per year to confirm the treatment processes and also to ensure the quality of the drinking water in the circulation system. Over the past 12 months, the City has continuing its work to make sure that its customers possess quality water in ample supply and pressure at their particular taps. Currently, the Drinking water Filter Plant (WFP) on Cherry Street has a peak require of 28. eight million gallons each day (MGD) with a maximum hourly demand of 33. 7 MGD. That peak demand continues to rise with growth in the far eastern part of the York Region. To meet forecasted demands, construction to expand the plant’s treatment capacity coming from 36- to 48-MGD began in Feb. The new filters must be in operation by Might 2019, with the general completion of the task scheduled for Feb 2021. The growth project also includes technology advancements and service expansion of the City’s (primary) raw intake of water facility on Pond Wylie. Also, five large-diameter waterline tasks to more efficient transport water from the WFP to customers are underway. Two tasks under construction can be found along Eden Patio and Myrtle Travel, and along University and Union Roads. Two projects which can be under design can transport water from your WFP along Attach Gallant Road to Dave Lyle Chaussee, and along Eden Terrace to Cel-River Road. The third task under design will certainly transport water along Mount Gallant Street between India Connect and Museum Highways. The City of Rock Hill aims to provide its residents and customers with an uninterrupted supply of a safe drinking water supply.
