About Us
For more Georgia resources & information
Water provided to Dade County Water and Sewer Authority’s clients is surface freshwater drawn from Lookout Creek and supplemented with groundwater coming from a well located in the water treatment herb. The map shows the location of the two water resources. Once the water is usually withdrawn from the creek or well, it is sent to the water treatment plant at Freeway 136. The water after that has alum put into it to trigger the fine dirt particles and other shades to come together and sink to the bottom level of the settling basins. The clear drinking water is then filtered and disinfected with chlorine which makes the water safe and sound for consumption. Lime green is added to change the pH level to make the water noncorrosive. Fluoride is then put into the treated drinking water to promote strong teeth and prevent dental major. The water is then allocated to the consumer. The operation of the Dade County Water and Sewer Authority is usually conducted under the path of the Water Authority’s Board of Company directors who are hired by the Dade Region Commission. The Table holds regularly planned meetings at eight a. m. around the third Friday of every month. The conferences are open to the general public and are held in the Dade County Management Building, located in 71 Case Volátil, Trenton, GA 30752.
