We request and welcome the general public at these conferences. Overview The year, 2017 was a very effective and worthwhile 12 months at the Kent Drinking water Treatment Plant. I did not have any big emergencies and were able to catch up upon some maintenance items which have been needing interest. Our biggest costs were the cleaning of just one production well and a new pump set up in that well. The next biggest task was upgrading the internal PLCs (Programmable Logic Computers), they will assist in the procedure of the water grow. This was a difficult task because while they may be down we are working the water plant totally in manual, however, not only did the operators do so without missing a step, yet we were able to preserve the production of drinking water to the same higher level of quality some. It may not sound hard but even a basic procedure of turning a well off/on needed personnel to drive towards the good field and manually start the motor. We continuing cleaning of our sludge lagoons as we delivered 2100 tons of items to local maqui berry farmers. Also, sludge (lime slurry) related, was your continuation of a test we did with Water Reclamation. All of us purchased a tanker truck and began hauling our water lime to our Drinking water Reclamation Plant and it seems to be functioning extremely well for them. An additional maintenance item was your replacement of a mixing machine in the flash blend at the water grow. We are proud to obtain another year below our belts without operational deviations from your State or Federal government EPA. We look toward continue serving Kent with the world’s ideal potable water..
