Is my drinking water free from danger? Yes, our drinking water meets all of EPA’s health standards. We certainly have conducted numerous checks for over 80 impurities that may be in moving water. As you will see inside the chart, we simply detected 11 of such contaminants; all had been within an acceptable level as determined by the results in the graph and or chart. What is the source of my water? The water, which is area and/or ground drinking water, comes from the M Bar Embayment within the Tennessee River plus the Allen Fine Planting season. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Resource efficiency (TDEC) has well prepared a Source Normal water Assessment Program (SWAP) Report for the untreated water options serving this drinking water system. The CHANGE Report assesses the susceptibility of neglected water sources to potential contamination. To make certain safe drinking water, all open public water systems take care of and routinely test out their water. Normal water sources have been graded as reasonably prone, moderately susceptible, or perhaps slightly susceptible based upon geologic factors and human activities near the water source. The Lenoir City Programs Water Plant #1 source is graded as reasonably prone to potential contamination. The Lenoir City Amenities Water Plant #2 source is graded as moderately prone to potential contamination.
