The Muscle Shoals Resources Board Water Treatment Plant is located in 321 River Street and utilizes Pat Lake on the Tn River for its water source. The treatment herb incorporates a process of blending, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration in the treatment process. Also, chlorine dioxide & chlorine are used for disinfection, fluoride-based for dental safety, and caustic soft drinks for pH adjusting. The Utilities Table has also performed a source water evaluation for the water treatment plant.
