About Us

The City of Park Ridge is usually committed to delivering the best-quality drinking water feasible. We remain aware of meeting the challenges of new rules, source water safety, water conservation, and community outreach and education while ongoing to serve the needs of all the water users. In previous years, this kind of report has been sent to you separately; this season the report has been included with your drinking water bill. This year, as with years past, the tap water met almost all the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and Illinois water health standards. This kind of report summarizes the standard of water that we offered last year, including information about where your drinking water comes from, what it consists of, and how it even compares to standards set simply by regulatory agencies. In case you have any questions relating to this report or on the subject of our water program, please contact Jesse Mann, Supervisor of Water Distribution, in (1-847-318-5251). You are invited to take part in our public discussion board and voice concerns about your water. The City Council matches at 7 g. m. the 1st and third Mon of each month in City Hall, 505 Butler Place. The town of Park Shape purchases all of our water from the City of Chi-town and enjoys an enormous supply of water coming from Lake Michigan. Pond Michigan water will be treated and then driven from the City of Chicago’s Jardine Filtration Herb off of Navy Boat dock, one of the largest and many advanced filtration vegetation in the world. The water can now be pumped into Park your car Ridge’s distribution program and into your house. IMPORTANT HEALTH INFORMATION Water, including bottled water, might reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of a few contaminants. The presence of pollutants does not necessarily show that water positions a health risk. More information about pollutants and potential wellness effects can be obtained simply by calling the USEPA’s Safe Drinking Water Hotline in (1-800-426-4791). Some people might be more vulnerable to pollutants in drinking water compared to the general population. Immunocompromised persons such as individuals with cancer going through chemotherapy, persons that have undergone organ transplants, people with HIV/AIDS or perhaps other immune system disorders, some elderly, and infants can be especially at risk from contamination. These people should look for advice about water from their health care providers. USEPA/CDC guidelines on suitable means to lessen the chance of infection by Cryptosporidium and other microbial pollutants are available from the USEPA’s Safe Drinking Water Hotline in (1-800-426-4791). LEAD AND DRINKING WATER If present, elevated levels of business leaders can cause serious health issues, especially for pregnant women and young children. Lead in drinking water is mainly from materials and components associated with support lines and house plumbing. The City of Park Ridge is in charge of providing high-quality water but cannot control the variety of materials utilized in plumbing components. Whenever your water has been seated for several hours, you can minimize the potential for business lead exposure by flushing your tap intended for 30 seconds to two minutes before working with water for consuming or cooking. In case you are concerned about lead within your water, you may want your water examined. Information on lead in drinking water, testing strategies, and steps you can take to reduce exposure is available from your Safe Drinking Water Hotline in (1- 800-426-4791) or perhaps at http://water.epa. gov/drink/info/lead..
