I bought this water softener as a replacement for my obsolete Culligan Estate 2 model that failed a new years ago. Before the replacement I thoroughly read the instructions and watched an installation video just to see what to expect. I *made* him watch the YouTube videos -- I think it's a male thing - similar to asking for directions -- and the installation took a full day. The equipment arrived earlier than expected. It works better than I thoughT it would. There was no printed information as to how to install that came with the equipment. It took several days to find install information on line that made any sense to me. After that it was an easy install. Finding understandable info to program was another issue. I finally found another user that had an easy to understand U Tube video and it was easy to follow. Everything is good now! Your products seem to be good but very lacking on how to set up and use in the future. I am a retired maintenance manager from an area that needed no water softeners so this was all knew to me. Happy with equipment now.

I am not sure if this system is set up correctly and I have had it for about 2 or 3 weeks. The documentation that comes with this system sucks. I have been meaning to call someone to ask a bunch of questions. But, i have not gotten around to it. You definitely need a professional plumber to set it up, even in my case where I had an existing system that needed to be disconnected. Even with these guys, they showed me an extra part that they did not know where it went. Not a good feeling there.

We have hard water, so everything (coffee maker, humidifier, showerhead, the little water spigot on the fridge) gets scale buildup on it. Our water isn't so hard that shampoos and detergents don't work, but I'm sick of cleaning the mineral deposits off of everything. We go through way too much vinegar. We have pets and small children, so I didn't want to use chemicals in our water, so this seemed like it'd do the trick.
