The Purrysburg Water Treatment Seed supplies drinking water to southern Beaufort and Jasper counties and supplements the Sw3 Water Treatment Place when needed. These treatment plants can provide up to 39 million gallons of water per day. BJWSA also uses normal water from the upper Floridan Aquifer, a large, subway bed of mountain that holds and supplies groundwater to fields and wells. The Floridan Aquifer expands through Florida, to the south Georgia and regions of Alabama and Sc. We operate and look after Floridan Aquifer boreholes in Bluffton, Hardeeville and Levy location, which add to the hydrant during times of high normal water demand..
