Tennessee Water Utility Companies

The City of Alcoa is pleased to present our Annual Drinking water Quality Report. This kind of report is designed to let you know about the quality of drinking water and services all of us deliver to you each day. Included is information about where your drinking water comes from, what it consists of, and how it even compares to standards set simply by regulatory agencies. The town of Alcoa’s objective is to meet or perhaps surpass all federal government and state requirements for safe drinking water. The constant goal is always to provide you with a safe and dependable supply of water. That includes efforts to continually improve the drinking water treatment process and protect our drinking water resources. We are devoted to ensuring the quality of the water. We provide drinking water for the City of Alcoa, the northeastern area of Blount Region plus Tuckaleechee Electric District. Our surface area water source may be the Little River, beginning in the Great Smoky Mountain range. This is part of the W Bar Watershed. One last source water evaluation of our watershed having a summary of our susceptibility to potential causes of contamination has been completed. The Tennessee Division of Hydrant considers the Alcoa intake to be of moderate susceptibility. City {non-point} pollution is a water quality concern. The Source Water Evaluation Plan may be seen at the Tennessee Division of Environment and Conservation’s Web site in www.tn.gov/environment/article/wr-wq-source-water-assessment..
