Bremerton’s drinking water system is operated and maintained by experienced personnel certified by State. Bremerton’s Unification River water resource is such good quality the City is not necessary to install a purification facility as long as almost all water quality, detailed, and watershed security requirements are achieved. Bremerton consistently matches these high requirements. Treatment of Bremerton’s drinking water currently consists of disinfection (chlorine and ultraviolet (UV) light) and corrosion control. Corrosion treatment increases the pH of the water to regarding 8 and is instructed to prevent Bremerton’s normal water from leaching business lead from customer’s home plumbing. About Us, City of Bothell Fire Department started with a small number of network volunteers and 50 water pails. The requirement for a local group of fire-fighters was touched off in 1911 by the terrible Easter Sunday fire that pulverized several organizations in downtown Bothell. It wasn't until 1973 after the entry of the federal Comprehensive Employment and Training Act that the primary paid professional firemen were procured. Bothell Fire Department has grown and changed with the occasions. The securing of more staff and better gear constrained the division to outgrow its original home only north of the 102nd Street bridge and move into the storm cellar of City Hall in 1936.
