The treatment conducted involves aeration, the addition of chlorine and freezing mixture (chloramines) for disinfection, and addition of “a phosphate-based corrosion control chemical. ” Deltona Water also supplies water to Natural stone Island and Business. Deltona Water also delivers water to additional county locations through system interconnects while needed. The types of drinking water (both plain tap water and bottled water) include rivers, wetlands, streams, ponds, reservoirs, springs, and water wells. As water vacations over the surface with the land or throughout the ground, it dissolves naturally-occurring minerals and, in some cases, radioactive materials, and can pick up chemicals resulting from the presence of pets or animals or liveliness. Contaminants that may be within source water incorporate: (A) Microbial pollution, such as viruses and bacteria, which may result from sewage treatment plant life, septic systems, farming livestock operations, and wildlife. (B) Inorganic contaminants, such as debris and metals, that can be naturally-occurring or derive from urban stormwater runoff, industrial or household wastewater discharges, gas and oil production, mining, or perhaps farming. (C) & nitrogen-laden herbicides, which may originate from a variety of sources just like agriculture, urban stormwater runoff, and housing uses. (D) Organic and natural chemical contaminants, which includes synthetic and risky organic chemicals, that are by-products of industrial operations and petroleum creation, and can also originate from gas stations, urban stormwater runoff, and solid waste systems. (E) Radioactive contaminants, which can be natural or be the effect of oil and gas production and mining activities. SUPPLY WATER ASSESSMENTS The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) under the Federal A safe drinking water supply Act has created the origin Water Assessment and Protection Program. This program is designed to ensure the protection of drinking water on the source. Contamination of groundwater can happen from contaminants including hazardous chemicals, tornado water runoff, garbage disposal sites and subway storage tanks. The Department of Environmental Protection updated the source Water Assessment about our system in 2017. The assessment was updated to provide details about any potential reasons for contamination in the vicinity of each of our wells. There were (15) unique potential poison sources identified meant for our system all using a moderate susceptibility level or level of matter. The assessment answers are available on the FDEP Source Water Analysis and Protection Software website at www.fldep. dep. state. florida. us/swapp or they could be obtained from Deltona Water for 255 Enterprise Rd., Deltona, FL 32725..
