I recently purchased a SoftPro Elite HE Water Softener with the Carbon Filter system from Quality Water Systems, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish.
One thing I really appreciated was how straightforward the ordering process was. Jeremy at Quality Water Systems asked a few simple questions about our home, such as how many people live in the house, the number of bathrooms, and our water source. Based on that information, he recommended and sized the system appropriately for our needs. There was no high-pressure sales pitch or attempt to oversell equipment—just practical advice and a system tailored to our situation.
The SoftPro Elite HE system itself has performed very well over the past week and half since installation. The combination of the water softener and whole-house carbon filter provides noticeably better water quality throughout the home. The water feels softer, soap lathers better, and the carbon filter effectively removes chlorine and improves the overall taste and odor of the water.

Easy install ,good manual and easy setup .....I havent used it long enough but it seems to save salt ....its ultra quiet compared to my previous 20 year old softner (in regenerating cycl.).

My previous water softeners (2 over 26 years) were Big Box low-end units, but this time I decided to upgrade to a commercial unit. Biggest problem was that the commercial unit resin tank + control box was too tall to fit in my crawl space on the existing concrete slab. My solution was to create a new lower foundation for the commercial unit. This was done by excavating enough dirt to place a small water trough supported by a bed of concrete into the ground near the water supply to the house.
I had to re-plumb the copper from a "left" to the softener (old location on the slab) to a "right" to the new softener location. The brine tank remains located on the original slab. The drain for regeneration was routed to the previous location via overhead PVC (~8" above the control unit exit spot) vs the old routing of a hose on the ground.
End result; wonderful tasting water. Visitors who also live on the same water supply system comment how different and good my water tastes compared to theirs.
Installation was very simple and straightforward. I installed my own bypass. The one question I had for them was answered very quickly and when I got disconnected, the support person gave me a cell phone number that I could text, which is pretty amazing.
So I think I can highly recommend this system and the company.

Long time customer of QWT. My first unit was a Fleck 7000 SXT bought early in 2006. It mostly ran without major issues, though I had to do some repairs. These were guided by the tech help at QWT!
In the last two months I determined the old Fleck was not functioning on the backwash cycle, and no longer softened my water. Then I went back to QWT and purchased a SoftPro® Elite High-Efficiency City Water Softener. It was a 32000 grain capacity and installation was reasonably easy. I have had it in service for about a month and no issues at all. It is performing well and it is great to have soft water once again.
QWT is my go to for any water treating solution, you should become a customer too!
I was skeptical with all the 5 star reviews and researched everything out there before ultimately deciding to just give it a whirl. After a few weeks of use, I can say I’m impressed. Getting soft water 24x7 and noticeably using less salt. I replaced a fleck 5600sxt that had the resin mush up. Rather than just replace the resin, I wanted something that would use less salt (hauling salt bags back and forth gets old quick).
Effective: 5/5 - have soft water from beginning to end of cycle. No periods of hard water between regens like I had with my fleck. My resin may have been defective so not knocking the fleck. The control head was flawless.
Efficient: 5/5 - regen appears to be using very little salt. Maybe 2 inch drop of salt in the brine tank per regen vs 3 to 4 with my previous system.
Build: 4/5 - resin tank is sleek and backlit control head is easy and user friendly. Took a point off for the brine tank. Compared to my previous one, the cylinder only has one spot at the bottom to secure it to the tank. My previous had top and bottom mounts for a more sturdy fit. Also no drain tube, but you could easily drill a hole and make one.
Overall, I love it. Time will tell how it lasts, but so far so good.
*if you have an existing softener and your water pressure drops, put it into bypass immediately and troubleshoot or buy new. About a week after my pressure drop, I had old resin beads coming out the faucets. No damage done, but took me ~10 hours to fully flush the water heater :(.
The entire transaction was a good experience. Your well designed website, allowed me to watch all your educational videos and therefore make an educated decision of what I needed to buy based on my town's water assessment . I reached out to your specialized department and reviewed my order with them prior to finalizing the purchase, which helped a lot. Within two to three weeks of placing the order, I received all of it. Even the monitoring of the shipment was easy to follow. I had a professional plumber installed it. When he was done installing it, he stated that I had acquired a very good system. I am very happy I decided to go through QWT and very content with the results.
I installed this myself and it was very easy. The quick connect hoses are a definite must and worth every dime to not deal with sweating pipes, etc. So far it is working perfect.

I have never had a water softener before. I had a local company come out and look at my plumbing and test my water and give a bid price to install their system. I did my own research and bought their system for 1/3 of the price. It arrive quickly installed easily, and I am enjoying soft water in my home. This company made it very easy to understand how the system works and what to expect. I am very happy with them and their product.
Except for the copper pipes and connectors, it came with everything, except the O-ring for the top of the filtration system tank. I was able to find it locally the next day, and finished the installation, which wasn't too difficult if you have the right tools and supplies. The water is great and to me? It paid for itself with the first shower!!!
Easy to install, everything is straight forward. Unit looks nice, sleek, and compact, doesn't stick off the wall that much compared to other control heads. The gallon countdown till next regen is very helpful and can be used for many things. It stays on the display the whole time and can be used to track your gallons of water consumed per day with a little math. Also can be used in leak detection if you have a leak the gallons will go down indicating water is being used. The 48,000 grain system has 1800 gallons between regens. Here's a secret tip you can use sprinkler funny pipe for the discharge drain line fits perfectly and is very sturdy. Also don't use pipe dope on the fittings for water piping as per manufacture just use teflon tape. I'm a pro and have installed many brands, the Soft Pro System seems to be well built
Water softener was very simple to install, along with the whole house filter, especially with the correct hoses provided. It took longer watching the water flow clear from each individual unit then actually hooking it up. Programming was a breeze. Nice to find videos on YouTube that gives additional help along with the manuals. As far as performance, cannot comment due that I just installed it today. Had some problems getting the correct hoses but Rhea helped in getting that taken care of.
Excellent system. So far we are enjoying cold soft water. The heater tank needs to be flushed to enjoy the hot water too. The plumber said zero hardness
Installed myself with help from YouTube and it was very easy, quick connect works great no leaks ! Programming was a little confusing cause quick install said one thing full installation manual says another so I went with manual install.

Easy install. Would be nice to have a more comprehensive manual that explains how to access options on controller and why you might want to adjust. Though lacking that, QWT has excellent, responsive service to help step through options for specific user needs.
The person making label didn’t follow my instructions about my address so it went to the manager. I had to call fedex to make sure they had correct address.
Didn’t get updated on arrival of water softener unless I called them. Took longer than expected to receive it.

This is the THIRD unit I have ordered. The first two are for customers and this one is in my own personal home. These are quality units and super easy to program. My customers love them so far and I’m sure I will too.
Night and day improvement vs 11 yr Whirlpool. Hardness and alkalinity reduced substantially. Water pressure increased. Installation quite easy, < 3 hrs, though a few steps were a bit unclear.
Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and performance of my SoftPro Elite High-Efficiency City Water Softener (64000 Grain Capacity). I prepped the plumbing and did all of the installation work myself. Having pre-built a CPVC plumbing bypass valve with threaded termination points, I did not use the Quick Connect Hoses but they were a generous nice-to-have. With the plumbing already in place, the actual installation of the assembled softener took a little over an hour. My deduction of a star in this review is because of the following:
• My unit was damaged during shipment and returned by FedEx. The logistics between Quality Water and FedEx caused a two-week delay in the receipt of the complete system.
• The replacement mineral tank was not preloaded with media as advertised and expected. A bag of media was delivered but I was left to my own devices as to funneling the media into the tank. Quite inconvenient and time consuming.
• The video installation instruction vs. the received printed instructions caused confusion as to whether a manual regeneration should be performed upon initial install.
As stated in the beginning, I am otherwise satisfied overall. I have not taken any actual hardness readings but I've noticed an elimination of the water ring stains in fixtures that appeared with the antiquated softener that this system replaced.
I needed to hire a plumber to redo the water connections from my previous water softener. I had a Sears and Whirlpool units before that only lasted about 4 years outside my house in southeast Florida. I bought this unit due to warranty and claims it could handle the heat and humidity down here. The install was very straight forward once I called to get some clarification on the installation videos and booklet. If you buy the KDF55 filter you don’t need the basket filter under the controller head. You do need to tighten the head to the tank pretty hard. I didn’t do it tight enough the first time and came out a few days later to find water leaking from the seam. Easy to disconnect the piles and tightened the unit - no issues since then. The outdoor cover for the controller seems to work, but I also covered everything with a grill cover tarp. Water quality is very good and soft. Didn’t use the quick connect pipes as plumber did custom connections.
I just had it put in 2 days ago to days ago and so far so far the water coming out of the sink seems to be are seems to have a little bit of a white tent to it like a little smoky tent so I'm not for sure if it's pumping out too much salt or if it's just going through the process and then it was slowly clear up so I'm hoping that it slowly clears up I've been running both showers and the sinks every day for a few minutes for these past 2 days to see if we can wash the smokey substance out of the water
Overall it was a good experience. So much for the free connector they never sent. Hired a handyman to install the system. It arrived a lot sooner that I was told. That pushed my plans cause it was delivered to my front door and not the garage. I can tell the difference in the water quality. I would recommend this product.
I ordered the SoftPro Water System and installed it myself. The biggest obstacle for me was the drainage. Instructions don’t really cover much but the drain has about the same pressure as the main water line so the connections need to be secured and water tight. The main system has a lot of functions but the instructions only cover what you need to get it running. I’d like to see more info on all the other functions even if they aren’t used much. As with all the other manufacturers of softeners , I found it very difficult to get specifics on how much salt it will use to how much water it uses to regenerate. It all depends on your water hardness but a few examples more accessible would have been nice. Lastly, the system is working and you can really tell the difference right away. I wish we would have installed one 3 years ago. The quality of the unit seems great and the service and shipping was fast. I highly recommend, but do your homework and definitely install yourself.
I love my water softener and carbon filter. Water quality has improved drastically. It is easy to install and customer service is great. Jeremy was very helpful and answered all my questions, provided information regarding the installation. I am very satisfied and happy with my purchase.
I purchased the soft pro elite with a carbon filter system. The purchase process was easy and it shipped out within a few days. When I received the product I watched the YouTube videos on how to install it. I had one question and called the company and they helped me quickly. The install, with the help of YouTube videos, went well. I have owned my system since 4/7/20. It has functioned flawlessly. My water use has decreased. My salt use has dramatically decreased. When I first installed it I filled it with 4 bags. Just a week ago, 11 months later, I had to put 2 more bags in. That is incredibly efficient at salt use. I love this system, the water tastes good, my water stays soft, and my water use and salt use has been WAY LESS. This is a quality affordable system. Highly recommend it.

I bought this softener last year and thought it was time to give it a review. This is not my first softener, I had a commercial softener in my last home that I bought somewhere else.
After a years worth of use, all I can say is wow! I had bought 6 bags of salt when I installed it, figuring that would last me a couple of months. As of today there was about 1 bag of salt left in the brine tank. This unit truly saves salt. My previous softener would have burned through easily 3 or 4 times the amount of salt this one used. But this one truly lives up to its claim about being frugal on salt. The unit has worked flawlessly for us, it’s one of those things that you purchase and afterwards marvel in what a great investment this was. I used to dread the dragging 200 pounds of salt down to the basement every other month. Now it’s a once a year deal!
The unit shipped quickly and came very well packaged with a tremendous amount of support literature and instructions. The companies sales department and tech support are very helpful and curious. I had originally ordered the wrong sized supply lines and emailed the sales department when I realized it. They corrected the order immediately without any delay to my order shipping.
Don’t hesitate in purchasing one of these. You won’t find a better unit and the price is also unbeatable. I’m very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this product as well as this company.
The shipping was kind of slow. Once I got the system I called a couple of times for assistance and clarification on installing instructions. They where always courteous and helpful. I had system working for 3 weeks now and had no problems or issues with it. The difference with water softness is amazing. Bathrooms are staying cleaner longer. I hope that the reviews are right and I get years of quality water.
Softener arrived on two shipments, faster than estimated, within two days off each other. The tank arrived fully loaded, but upside down. Everything was packaged well, nothing read missing or damaged. Instructions were straightforward and it took me two hours to install the system. It them took a couple days to start seeing the softened water, and it's been great since. I had a couple questions which I emailed in, and got them answered within 30 minutes, so a big thumbs up to the support team. I would definitely recommend this softener.
The selection and ordering process was excellent. The SoftPro elite "unit" was shipped in two boxes as expected. But delivery of the second box arrived 2 days after the first box. Installation was fairly easy and instruction manual was clear. Just ordered a water testing kit to measure the softness in my household. Overall, quite pleased.

Easy self install, the hardest part was building a cover to protect it from the elements outside. Noticed the feel of the water immediately, I think we took three showers each that first day plus bathed the dog, The difference is amazing! We’ve only had it in for about two weeks now and we can already see how it’ll save on soap and cleaning supplies especially on shower glass doors, laundry rm. bathroom and kitchen fixtures.
