EAST & WEST SPRINGTIME LAKE WATER TOP QUALITY CONSIDERATIONS 1. zero PURPOSE The purpose of this kind of report is to give a summary of drinking water quality data gathered within the East & West Spring Pond area of Charlotte Region. Besides, this statement provides a summary of relative studies performed within the area. Info for this report planning has been collected and tested from the two groundwater wells and canals for nitrogen, phosphorous and waste coliform. As will probably be displayed within this record, nutrient levels inside the East & Western Spring Lake region are not only above regulating standards for surface area water, but suggested a correlation with onsite sewage treatment and disposal devices (OSTDS) within the region. This correlation is usually demonstrated through nutritional levels within the East & West Springtime Lake area becoming higher than levels inside other portions of Charlotte Harbor and through the comparison of nutritious levels within diverse seasonal conditions. 1 ) 1 BACKGROUND Inside the early to mid-1990s, Charlotte County started a centralized sewage service expansion system that was suggested to provide wastewater collection and transmission intended for both new homes as well as existing houses which utilize onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems (OSTDS). The program proceeded through design, however, just before implementation, the program, was halted. On 06 of 2009, the Charlotte County Resources (CCU) made a presentation to the Charlotte now County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) which provided a summary for initiation of a similar centralized sewage service expansion plan. At that time, the BCC recommended that an Initial Engineering Report (PER) be prepared to evaluate alternate systems and related costs for set up. For this effort, Region 1 (Figure 1) was selected because the initial area to become evaluated due to the quantity of existing OSTDS’s presently in use in the location, and given Location 1’s proximity towards the Charlotte Harbor estuary and tributary normal water bodies. Also, this place is part of the Crocodile Bay drainage pot, which was specifically needed by the Florida Division of Environmental Safety (FDEP) to be a part of a “phased sewer expansion” (see Stansted Locks below)..
