Our resource water is bought water from the Associated with Tulsa, City of Sapulpa, and Creek Region Rural Water Section #1. Water bought from the City of Tulsa serves the north part of our Area, portions of the southeast part of our Area, and some areas of the town of Kiefer. The town of Tulsa depends on surface water coming from two sources: Pond Oologah on the Verdigris River and Ponds Spavinaw and Eucha on Spavinaw Creek. Water from Pond Oologah is cured at the A. W. Jewell Treatment Herb; Water from Ponds Spavinaw and Eucha is treated in the Mohawk Treatment Grow. Water purchased from your City of Sapulpa acts as the rural Sapulpa region. The City of Sapulpa relies on surface drinking water from Skiatook Pond and Lake Sahoma. Both sources of drinking water are treated in the Sapulpa Treatment Grow. The water purchased coming from Creek County Countryside Water District #1 serves the southern part of our Area, including some regions of the City of Kiefer. Creek County Countryside Water District #1 relies on surface drinking water from Lake Heyburn; it is treated in the District #1 Treatment Plant. As needed by the 1996 A safe drinking water supply Act Amendments, the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality offers completed source drinking water assessment plans (SWAP) for all the systems that people purchase water coming from. These reports incorporate a delineation of areas surrounding the water places, and inventory from the regulated and not regulated drinking water contaminants inside the delineated areas, and a determination from the systems relative susceptibility to contamination. The ratings reflect the opportunity of contamination of resource water, not the presence of contamination. Please get in touch with the ODEQ to talk about the results of the assessment at 405-702-8100 or go to http://deq. state. ok. us/window/sourced water/index. HTML for more information. The Creek County Board of Directors agreed to acquire $6. 4 mil from the USDA intended for improvements to the drinking water district infrastructure including the construction of a freshwater tower in 2016. Construction continues to be ongoing for the last eleven months, with the majority of the work completed. The brand new water tower will host 500, 000 gallons of water, when compared with the old tower, which usually held only two hundred and fifty, 000. CCRWD2 offers certainly evolved during the last 50 years, and they have grown from the initial 800 customers to 5000 members today, with roughly 280 miles of water line in the ground. Had originally been located on the outskirts of town, in a countryside country setting, great the countryside encircling it has grown right into a bustling area ready for growth, surrounded by Glenpool, Jenks, Sapulpa, Bixby, and South Tulsa..
