Cleaning and replacing this resin was a breeze! All I had to to was to watch an online youtube video on how to disassemble the unit and do the job. I did that and it took me about 1.5 hours from start to finish and now my water feels soft and the pressure returned to normal; since for the past several months the water pressure had dropped to almost in half of what It is supposed to be. I could tell the difference when comparing both the old and the new resin as well. Now I have the equivalent of a brand-new softener after buying this resin and the funnel and spending about 1.5 hours of labor.

It seems to be working just fine. The resin was damp coming out of the bag so it was caking, but it wasn't too hard to work with. Putting the feed tube in the resin after it's full it a little bit of a challenge but I found that when I filled the tank with water and jiggled the tube as I inserted it, it went in easily. Now the big question is 'how long is the life span of this resin?'

Water started getting hard after water company blasted area with high levels of Chlorine after water main break. So I replaced resin. Works perfectly now. Resin can be easily changed out when cleaning empty salt tank. Which you should do every few years. I am impressed with the quality of the beads. Works like new.
