DESCRIPTION
Resin built to outlast the chlorine.
This 10% crosslinked, premium cation resin is a tougher upgrade for whole-house water softeners. The higher crosslink makes it more durable against chlorine and iron, which wear resin out faster. It can last 15 to 20 years, though high chlorine or chloramine levels can still shorten its life considerably, even at 10%.
- 100% ion exchange, strong acid cation
- Chlorine resilient and iron resistant
- USDA, NSF, and FDA approved
- Six sizes: 1.0 to 3.0 cubic feet
- 100% no-risk money-back guarantee
HOW TO USE
Swap it in. Soften for years.
- Pick your size. Choose the cubic feet that matches your tank. Not sure? Call our experts.
- Replace the old resin. Empty the tank, then pour in the new resin.
- Reassemble and run your softener. Follow your softener’s manual.
Tip from a customer: fill the tank with water and jiggle the feed tube as you insert it into the new resin.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Tougher beads. Same softening power.
Hard water flows through the resin beads. They trade hardness minerals for sodium and leave your water soft. The 10% crosslink makes each bead denser and stronger, so chlorine and iron break it down more slowly.
That’s why this resin is recommended for chlorinated water.

Upgraded 100% ion exchange, 10% crosslinked strong acid cation water softening resin for whole-house water softeners.

- Cation: positively charged
- 10% crosslinked for longer lifespan
- Chlorine resilient
- Iron resistant
Lifespan:
Depending on water condition, 10% crosslink resin can last 15 to 20 years. High chlorine or chloramine can still shorten that considerably.

Real Softeners, Really Revived
The pattern here mirrors what genuinely happens when old resin gets swapped out: hardness readings dropping from the high teens/twenties down to 0-2, water pressure returning after months of gradual decline, and long-dead softeners (10, 15, even 20+ years old) working like new again. Multiple reviewers specifically chose the 10% crosslink version because their water source had chlorine issues
— one customer replaced resin specifically after their water company hit the area with a high chlorine dose following a water main break, and reported the softener working perfectly again afterward.
Installation experiences ran from "under 90 minutes with a YouTube tutorial" to "a bit of a challenge," with one reviewer specifically noting the resin arrived slightly damp and caked, requiring a bit more patience feeding it into the tank than expected
— still manageable, just worth knowing going in. A couple of reviewers wished a loading funnel had been included with the resin rather than needing to buy one separately, and one customer specifically wished for the option to order partial cubic
-foot quantities (they needed 1.25 cu ft and had to round up to a full cubic foot instead).
