The SoftPro ECO™ Well Water Softener is built for homes on a private well. Choose 32,000, 48,000, or 64,000 grains, get a programmable control valve, and use 10% less salt than traditional softeners.

HOW TO USE
- Test and size. Know your hardness and iron levels, then run the sizing calculator.
- Do the bucket test. Time how long a 5-gallon bucket takes to fill at a spigot near your pump to get your flow rate. Adding the iron filter? Choose the matching flow rate. Never go higher.
- Install after the pressure tank. Iron filter first in line, softener second.
- Salt, plug, program. Fill the brine tank and set the valve.
- Check salt monthly. The valve handles the rest.

HOW DOES IT WORK
Well water shows up with hardness minerals, and often iron tagging along.
Inside the ECO™, resin beads trade calcium and magnesium for sodium through ion exchange, so soft water reaches every tap. When the beads are full, brine from the salt tank recharges them and flushes the minerals to drain.
Add the Pro Iron Filter and the team gets bigger. During each regeneration it pulls an air pocket into its tank. Incoming water passes through that air first, which oxidizes iron, manganese, and sulfur. The catalytic media then raises pH above 7.0 and traps them. It backwashes itself every four days, usually at 2 AM, while you're asleep.
Then the softener mops up the leftovers and removes the hardness.

The SoftPro ECO™ Packages Explained

- This 1" high-efficiency softener ships with a black neoprene jacket, so outdoor installs are no problem (grab the optional protective valve cover at checkout for extra weather protection). It removes up to 3 PPM iron and up to 1 PPM manganese on its own.
- ECO™ Softener + Pro Iron Filter — Improve Manganese, Sulfur & pH : This is the most popular well package, because it tackles nearly everything at once: up to 30 PPM iron, up to 5 PPM manganese, up to 5 PPM sulfur (that rotten-egg smell), and it boosts pH above 7.0 — because iron, manganese, and sulfur oxidize far more readily in higher-pH water. The AIO filter pulls an air pocket through the tank during regeneration; incoming water passes through that pocket and oxidizes the contaminants before the katalox media finishes the job. It backwashes every 4 days (typically scheduled for 2 AM), regardless of usage, to keep the media clean and in full contact with your water. From there, water runs through the 10% crosslink resin softener bed, stripping any remaining hardness, iron, and manganese. Both tanks use 1" control valves and 1" distributor tubes, keeping pressure drop minimal, and both come standard with their own bypass valve for easy maintenance. Catalytic media life: 3 to 10+ years depending on water severity and usage. Resin life: 10+ years, same variables. Both systems ship with a black neoprene jacket for safe outdoor installation, and a waterproof control valve cover is available at checkout.
