To his is a very essential time in the history of Coachella Valley Drinking water District as we tag 100 years of the dedication to “making every single drop count seeing that 1918. ” Most of us have reasons to commemorate the foresight of those who established CVWD. We hope to see you at our one-hundredth anniversary public special event that is planned intended for Nov. 4 in the Living Desert Tierpark and Gardens. Information is on page two of this publication. We broke floor this year on a fresh replenishment facility in Palm Desert which will replenish approximately twenty-five, 000 acre-feet of imported water into the aquifer annually launched complete. Other essential projects: • The brand new Critical Support Solutions Building on CVWD’s Palm Desert grounds are designed and created to remain operational after having a major earthquake and includes redundant electrical power backups. The building will also house an important software program as the water top quality department and in one facility lab. • CVWD and Desert Drinking water Agency will continue to keep clients informed about the Agua Caliente tribe lawsuit that claims rights to Coachella Valley groundwater. • The current domestic drinking water rates are on web page 8 of this distribution, unchanged since 2016, and other rates are obtainable at our website, www.cvwd.org/rates. • CVWD continues to be committed to delivering top quality drinking water. Our total annual Domestic Water Top quality Summary is upon pages 4-7. • Conservation has become a lifestyle for Californians.
