Tacoma Normal water owns the land over the river, which makes up about approximately 11 percent of the watershed. Due to agreements with other landowners, Tacoma limits gain access to and carefully regulates all activities inside the watershed such as entertainment, road maintenance and logging. Tacoma likewise owns and works seven wells within the North Fork from the Green River in the watershed and requires water from all those sources during intervals when Green Stream water is not available due to high turbidity.
