The Edgefield County Water and Sewer Authority is a body corporate and politic and a Special Purpose District of the province of South Carolina which was made compliant with the arrangements of Act 571 and Joint Resolutions of South Carolina General Assembly, Regular Session of 1967 as changed by Act No. 1192 of the Acts and Joint Resolutions of the South Carolina General Assembly, normal sessions of 1970 (together, the "Demonstration) whereby the Authority is given the capacity to gain, develop and work a waterworks and sewer system inside its administration territory which comprises of all of Edgefield County and a little zone in the southwestern corner of Aiken County verged on the eastern option to proceed of U.S. Highway 25 and on the south by the southern option to proceed of Interstate 20.
