We are pleased to convey to you this 12 months' Annual Drinking Water Quality Report. In 1974, the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) become signed into law requiring all water systems that serve the public to fulfill national requirements for water excellent. These requirements set the limits for positive contaminants and require all public water structures to screen for those contaminants. NBU routinely tests for these constituents on your drinking water in keeping with Federal and State laws. The tables in this record show the tracking consequences of the Calendar Year 2017 Sampling Schedule starting Jan. 1 via Dec. 31 of 2017 unless otherwise cited. This report is designed to keep you knowledgeable about the first-rate of water and services we deliver to you each day. We need you to apprehend the efforts we make to enhance treatment techniques and guard our supply. We are dedicated to the satisfactory of your drinking water. As in the past, your consuming water has been and stays safe to drink. Please take a few moments to look over this essential document regarding your drinking water. Welcome to North Baldwin Utilities - a municipally-owned Water, Wastewater and Natural Gas utility. NBU was organized by the City of Bay Minette in 1945 under the name of The Water Works Board of the Town of Bay Minette. In 1949, the name was changed to The Water Works and Gas Board of the Town of Bay Minette to reflect the addition of natural gas services. The name changed again in 1951 to The Utilities Board of the City of Bay Minette. A final change to the name occurred in April of 2005.We take great care to follow the highest industry standards to provide quality services to the residents of North Baldwin County. We also recognize the prominent position that we hold in this community and work hard to present attractive, well-maintained facilities that show we care about the place where we live and work. We are continuously looking for better ways to serve our customers and our community, and we welcome your input on how to improve the services we provide.
