Why Should I Purchase
A Water Softener from Quality Water Treatment
1. CAN I INSTALL MY OWN WATER SOFTENER?
Yes, you can. The majority of our customers install our water softeners by themselves. If you don't feel comfortable doing so you can hire a local plumber or handyman to install it. Our water softener systems come with full installation guides and we also offer easy to install quick-connection hoses on our website to make installation easier and simpler for you.
2. HOW DO I REACH CUSTOMER SERVICE?
Please call us at the telephone number listed on our website, use our live chat, or send us an email. We are known to answer emails after business hours and on the weekends.
3. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO AFTER MY WATER SOFTENER IS INSTALLED?
After your water softener is installed and programmed properly (easy to do with the supplied instructions), your only real ongoing maintenance is to make sure that there is always salt in the brine tank. If the salt runs out, the brine solution cannot regenerate the resin beads and you will not have soft water.
4. WHAT IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY WATER SOFTENER?
All of our water softeners come with a full warranty.
SoftPro Water Softener and filter resin and salt tanks carry a lifetime warranty. SoftPro Elite water softener and filter valves carry a 10-year warranty.
Our Softpro Premiere Pura water softeners carry a lifetime warranty on tanks and 7 years on the valve.
Fleck water softeners and filters have a 10-year warranty on resin and brine tanks and a 5-year warranty on the fleck valve.
If anything should happen to your water softener or filter system prior to arriving at your location, we will be more than happy to help and replace anything determined to be damaged or not operating properly. As soon as you find that there might be a problem with your water softener, contact us immediately.
We will help you and get the issue resolved at no cost to you.
5. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FLECK DOWN-FLOW WATER SOFTENER AND A UP-FlOW SOFTPRO WATER SOFTENER?
The Fleck down flow water softener is older technology that still works today.
Basically, the Fleck water softener regenerates and flows downward. When it regenerates, the Fleck water softener uses the full amount of salt needed to recharge the whole resin bed, even if not needed which waste salt and water.
Fleck water softeners only carry a 5-year warranty on the valve and 10-year warranty on the tanks.
SoftPro up-flow on-demand water softener is a newer technology that measures every gallon of water used so that the system regenerates only when needed. If you use twice as much water or half as much water normally used, the system will adjust to only recharge the resin bed requiring to be charged, saving you an average of $3,297.00 over the lifetime of the water softener system.
That is an average of $219.80 savings per year. These figures have been determined based on data we have gathered from reliable resources.
This is how it is calculated:
Salt savings over the average 15-year life of the SoftPro water softener is $3,297.00
Here is the math:
5 people x 75 gallons per day of water per person = 375 gallons of water used per day x hardness of 25 grains per gallon - 9,375 grains of hardness being removed per day.
Using a fleck 48000-grain water softener, we divide the 9357 grains of hardness by the capacity of the softener. 48,000 divided by 9375 grains = 5.12 days
A fleck water softener you have to back off one full day for reserves so you don't run out of soft water in the middle of the day or evening.
A Fleck will regenerate every 4 days or every 1500 gallons of water used.
Fleck 48,000 grain water softener uses 22.5 pounds of salt per regeneration.
Take 365 days per year and divide by the days of regeneration. 365 divided by 4 = 91 regenerations per year x the amount of salt per regeneration. 91 x 22.5 = 2047 pounds of salt per year. Salt pellets are generally sold in 40-pound bags at an average cost of $6.28 after tax per bag. 2047 pounds divided by 40-pound bags = 51 bags of salt per year is what a fleck water softener will use based on averages.
This is an operating cost of $320.28 per year (26.69 per month )
SoftPro average operating cost:
With a Softpro water softener, you don't need to back off one full day for reserves because it has an emergency short regeneration mode preventing running out of soft water in the middle of the day or evening gaining a full day of soft water over a Fleck model.
SoftPro will regenerate every 5 days or every 1500 gallons of water used.
A SoftPro 48,000-grain water softener uses 9 pounds of salt per regeneration.
Take 365 days per year and divide by the days of regeneration. 365 divided by 5 = 73 regenerations per year x the amount of salt per regeneration. 73 x 9 = 657 pounds of salt per year.
Salt pellets are generally sold in 40-pound bags at an average cost of $6.28 after tax per bag.
657 pounds divided by 40-pound bags = 16 bags of salt per year is what a SoftPro water softener will use based on averages. This is an operating cost of $100.48 per year (8.37 per month )
Fleck operating cost per year: $320.28
SoftPro operating cost per year: $100.48

Water savings based on the calculations given:
SoftPro saves 45 gallons of water per regeneration over a Fleck water softener x 91 regenerations/year = 4,095 gallons of water saved per year.
According to data on circleofblue.com, it looks like average the average water bill for a family of 4 using 100 gallons per day per person = 400 gallons per day ( 12,166 gallons per month ) is $52.94 per month ( an average cost per gallon of water .02 cents).
SoftPro saves an average of 4095 gallons of wastewater over a Fleck water softener per year.
4095 gallons saved x .02 cents per gallon = $81.90 per year savings ( savings of $1,228.00 over the life of the SoftPro system )
A SoftPro high efficiency up flow water softener will, therefore, save you up to $4,525.80 over the average lifetime of the water softener ( 15 years is average )
This is an average savings of $25.15 per month over a Fleck water softener.
The SoftPro water softeners provide a better value than the Fleck water softeners.
6. WHY SHOULD I BUY A WATER SOFTENER FROM SOFTPRO WATER SYSTEMS INSTEAD OF ANOTHER ONLINE COMPANY OR A LOCAL COMPANY?
You can buy your water softener locally if you feel more comfortable doing so. If you decide to buy a water softener from us you can save Hundreds of dollars over buying it locally, even if you have to pay a plumber to install it which typically costs $300 to $450 to install.
