HOW TO USE
  1. Test your well first. Hardness, iron, manganese, pH, and sulfur.
  2. Size it right. Use the sizing calculator, and measure your well pump flow rate before choosing any add-on filter.
  3. Install after the pressure tank. Any iron or pH filter goes ahead of the softener.
  4. Salt and program. Fill the brine tank, set the valve, and let the automatic settings run the show.
  5. Retest now and then. Wells change. Your treatment should keep up.
HOW DOES IT WORK

Hard well water enters the resin tank and passes through fine mesh resin. Smaller beads mean more surface area for ion exchange, so they grab calcium, magnesium, and dissolved clear-water iron.

When it's time to recharge, upflow regeneration sends brine up from the bottom. The bed lifts and loosens so iron doesn't pack in and foul the beads, and the system uses less salt and water doing it.

Demand-based programming tracks how much water you actually use and regenerates only when needed.

Need more muscle? Upstream filters oxidize and trap the heavy iron, sulfur, and manganese first. The Elite cleans up the rest.

Softener + Pro Iron Filter — Improve Manganese, Sulfur & pH

This is the most popular well package, because it tackles nearly everything at once: up to 30 PPM iron, up to 5 PPM manganese, up to 5 PPM sulfur (that rotten-egg smell), and it boosts pH above 7.0 — because iron, manganese, and sulfur oxidize far more readily in higher-pH water. The AIO filter pulls an air pocket through the tank during regeneration; incoming water passes through that pocket and oxidizes the contaminants before the katalox media finishes the job. It backwashes every 4 days (typically scheduled for 2 AM), regardless of usage. From there, water runs through the 10% crosslink resin softener bed, stripping any remaining hardness, iron, and manganese. Both tanks use 1" control valves and 1" distributor tubes, keeping pressure drop minimal, and both come standard with their own bypass valve. Catalytic media life: 3 to 10+ years depending on water severity and usage. Resin life: 10+ years, same variables. Both systems ship with a black neoprene jacket for safe outdoor installation.

I’ve purchased three different systems from Quality Water Treatment over the years. The first two worked flawlessly, but this latest one has been a huge disappointment. They shipped the wrong items, and it took nearly six weeks to finally receive the correct filter. Even after installing it, the system still performs poorly. My 20‑year‑old aerator tank and small softener did a significantly better job than this brand‑new setup. Very unhappy with the product and the overall experience.

Fed Ex lost our softener media tank but confirmed it was delivered to our home, which it was not. Quality water sent a replacement at their expense. You can’t beat that. The Soft Pro Elite for well water is an exceptional product. It exceeds my expetations. The quality of the water is noticeably improved and the salt usage is cut in half from the old water softener. This unit was super easy to install with Pex A plumbing. Just watch the install and programming videos and it's a breeze. What more can i say. The company QWT is one of the best i've dealt with. I was a little skeptical at first as i live in eastern Canada and they are located in the USA but they could have been next door. The shipping was a little slow but the service made up for it. Any questions were answered quickly and I was kept informed all the way. The customer service was super. If your buying a water product I highly recommend this company.

Saved a bunch of $$. The company that installed the previous system back in 2006 for the previous home owner quoted $4k to rebuild the valve head and replace the media. I was able to get a new better system for just over $2k. My only issue was there was absolutely no documentation or can I find any online anywhere in relation to the KDF. I just hope the valve just sits on top of it and is not attached somehow?

The installation was a breeze. I powered the softener up, added the appropriate amount of water to the brine tank, added salt, and let the softner do it's thing. After about 3 days we could tell the water was really much softer and more clear. The soaps and shampoos really suds up now and the water tastes fantastic. I have nothing to say but good things about QWT and my softpro water softener.

I did a lot of research and landed on the SoftPro system. Shipping was quick and the installation was straight forward and pretty easy if you are comfortable with pipe and fittings. I had hard water since its comes from a rural community water well and checked the water hardness level and it said my water was 21 hardness. I don't know anything about water softeners or how they work, but figures that it needed to be fixed so I looked on youtube and found Craig the water guy explaining the differences in big box store softeners vs there Elite model and decided it was the right choice for my house. I'm happy with the water softener and how simple they made it for the DIY. It's been about a month since it's been installed has not used much salt. This will help keep my faucets and water heater from clogging up with scale.

Nice quality product, installation was very simple, took me a day to install, because I had to replace my old water heater and replumb everything but got it all finished and away it went I have very hard water it tested at 16 on hardness scale, and it works great, nice soft water and great price.

I installed this myself by following the "Owners manual" instructions and everything went together great. This would have been less than a 1 hour install at most, it was fairly a straight forward project, just read the instructions and assemble the parts. The programing of the unit wasn't so bad, just getting use to which buttons to push took time, not difficult. This was an easy DIY project. What took time for me was I added an extra shut off valve after this unit and also added a inline filter before this unit, it's the soldering that took the most time. Still, the whole project took about 3 hours. Happy with the whole process.

First time installing and using a water softener in a home. Aside from my home's plumbing being somewhat of a mess, once that was sorted out the installation of this unit couldn't be easier. Came well packaged with everything I needed to install. Never installed one before but putting it together was straightforward and easy enough that anybody with some home repair skills should be able to complete. Mine did come with the resin already inside the cylinder and I'm not sure that is the case always but saved a lot of time and trouble. Programming it did throw me a curve so I called the company and a super nice lady led me right through it over the phone in a few minutes, great customer support. Been installed and operating trouble free several months now. Great product and would certainly purchase again if need arrived!

Was fairly easy to install and has worked great so far. I have had it installed for a year now and have no complaints. I just add salt every month or two and the water softener system does the rest. Our close our softer, a dishes are cleaner and our tile and bath fixtures don�t get hard water stains or calcium build up. My neighbors don�t have a water softener and have to replace or clean their shower fixtures all the time because of the nasty white calcium and hard water build up. Their shower glass door is ruined and ours is still in perfect condition. What else to say, get this system and you won�t regret it. Our house if 1600 sqft with 3 bed, 2 bath.
