BOTTLED WATER THROUGHOUT HOME
For a lot of us, when we think city water we think "it must be clean and safe, it has to be!"
What a vast number of us don't know is that water is not always as pure as it seems to be. The truth of the matter is, the EPA allows "acceptable" levels of multiple contaminants to remain in the water, these contaminants then enter your body in a glass of supposedly clean tap water. Chlorine, chloramine, pesticides, herbicides, and pharmaceuticals just to name a few.

MAINTENANCE, REPLACEMENT & WARRANTY
Carbon media filter will last 5-10 years under typical use. Water quality and content will affect longevity.
Adding a 1/2 cup of household non-perfumed bleach to cleaner to the carbon system once per year is a good idea to help the media perform better, No other regular maintenance.
Well Water Source:
When on a private well, like any carbon filter, it can require maintenance depending on water quality such as the piston, spacers and seals can be worned or get stuck when iron, sediment or manganese is present in the water. So these types of items may need to be cleaned or replaced. Replacing is generally more effective and they are not expensive parts.
