Coweta County Water and Sewerage Authority ("CCWSA" or "the Authority") was built up by the Georgia General Assembly in 2001, under the Coweta County Water and Sewerage Authority Act, and got ownership and operation of the water and sewer systems from the County on June 6, 2007. CCWSA is committed to providing the most excellent water administrations, with its honour winning water and wastewater treatment offices, to more than 27,000 dynamic water and 2,400 sewer clients in Coweta County and the surrounding communities. CCWSA is a "WaterFirst Community" submitted caring for our water assets and striving to surpass the best expectations to secure and enhance the environment. The B.T. Brown Water Treatment Plant, fit for pumping 10 million gallons of water for every day, got the Gold Award in 2013 and 2014, just as, grants for outstanding operations in 2009 and 2011 from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP). Wastewater collection and treatment administrations are given through its three Wastewater Treatment Plants: Arnco, Sargent, and the Shenandoah plant, which has gotten the GAWP Gold Award in 2013, 2014, and 2016.
