In 1966 the Dale City Civic Association perceived the requirement for fire administration in Dale City. On October fourth, 1967 the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. was joined in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The primary general participation meeting was held on January 1968 at which time applications from the network were acknowledged for Firefighter positions.
