Info obtained before January 1, 2018, and presented in this statement are from the latest testing done in compliance with the laws, guidelines, and regulations. Each of our community is blessed with an abundant flow of drinking water. Our drinking water comes from the Floridan Aquifer. The Floridan Aquifer is a huge area that underlies approximately 100, 500 square miles in southern Alabama, southeastern Georgia, southern Sc and all of Florida. The Floridan Aquifer consists of high-quality ground normal water that is confined well below ground level. Geologic formations, known as limiting layers protect floor water from contaminants. Locally, Keystone Levels is a primary refresh area for the Floridan Aquifer. Organic recharge from areas as far away because Georgialso helps to keep water levels inside the aquifer. In your area, all of us use twenty-six (26) wells located for eleven (11)separate drinking water treatment plants(known since the Orange Recreation area Grid) to pull away from water from the Floridan aquifer. These water wells average approximately you, 000 feet thorough. After water has been withdrawn from the aquifer, it is aerated, disinfected and then pumped to your house. Our highest concern at the Clay Region Utility Authority is always to ensure our clients have safe drinking water. To make sure we have a sufficient water supply in the future, the Authority has applied for an impressive water source protection and preservation program. ? -We Welcome Your ViewsThe Clay County Power Authority’s Board of Supervisors meets by 2: 00 g. m. on the 1st and third Wednesday of each month.
