It is with great pleasure to announce that the Hendersonville Utility District features scored 599 remarks of a possible 599 points for a statistical score of one-hundred percent (100%) about its most recent Hygienic Survey. This score retains the HUD in the State’s “Approved” category. The review consisted of a review of data to document the operational performance in the system and a great on-site inspection in the distribution system. The survey was executed by a field off icer through the TN Department of Environment and Resource efficiency (TDEC), Division of Normal water Resources. The review covered the time by March 27, 2015, through March 30, 2017. We are very proud of our team plus the lofty goal that they can were able to achieve. This is certainly a rare score, and that we have every staff member to thank for a task well done..

The Hendersonville Utility District was established in 1948 to give unrivaled water and wastewater services to the growing Hendersonville territory. Initially serving just a few hundred customers, the Utility District today provides professional, effective and top notch water and wastewater service to more than 14,000 homes and businesses all through the more noteworthy Hendersonville territory. Customer service is the number one need of the Hendersonville Utility District. Our committed team of employees strives to furnish every one of our customers with the best consumable water and sanitary sewer services, keeping the open's safety first and foremost in our minds. Water Service The water conveyed to our customers is safe, ample and dependable. Our new water treatment plant is the most mechanically propelled water treatment office in the State of Tennessee. The membrane channel plant has a ten (10) million gallon for each day (mgd) limit with our present every day usage less than five (5) mgd, in this manner enabling us to serve our customers well into what's to come. We got the "Grand Award" from TCEC for 2015 in the water resources classification for the new water plant design. Wastewater Service Wastewater services are given through a cautiously managed network of Hendersonville Utility District-maintained gathering systems that gather and then transfer wastewater straightforwardly to Metro Nashville's wastewater treatment facilities. This agreeable arrangement between our two agencies provides Hendersonville customers with the benefits of effective operational management of facilities in Hendersonville, without the unnecessary duplication of wastewater treatment services. The Hendersonville Utility District's Board of Commissioners is committed to such helpful arrangements where they advantage our customers and the locale. This philosophy is being reflected in the Board's way to deal with urban growth management, with the Utility District, Goodlettsville, Millersville, Ridgetop, and the White House Utility District now working helpfully on issues of watershed management. Commissioner Requirements The Commissioners of the Hendersonville Utility District serves four (4) year terms. Vacancies on the Board of Commissioners are filled by appointment by the Sumner County Executive from a list of three nominees confirmed by the Board of Commissioners to the Sumner County Executive. Decisions by the Board of Commissioners on customer complaints brought before the Board of Commissioners under the District's customer complaint strategy may be reviewed by the Utility Management Review Board of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation pursuant to Section 7-82-702(7) of Tennessee Code Annotated..
