Fairly easy install. I did the positioning and mounting, but had a plumber hook it together. As you can see in the picture, I tried to avoid any elbows...just loops for improved flow.
Very much enjoying showering now. Drinking water is better as well.
I recently purchased a SoftPro Elite HE Water Softener with the Carbon Filter system from Quality Water Systems, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish.
One thing I really appreciated was how straightforward the ordering process was. Jeremy at Quality Water Systems asked a few simple questions about our home, such as how many people live in the house, the number of bathrooms, and our water source. Based on that information, he recommended and sized the system appropriately for our needs. There was no high-pressure sales pitch or attempt to oversell equipment—just practical advice and a system tailored to our situation.
The SoftPro Elite HE system itself has performed very well over the past week and half since installation. The combination of the water softener and whole-house carbon filter provides noticeably better water quality throughout the home. The water feels softer, soap lathers better, and the carbon filter effectively removes chlorine and improves the overall taste and odor of the water.
I was also impressed with the quality of the equipment and the detailed documentation provided. The system is easy to understand, and the programming options allow you to fine-tune the settings if needed. The high-efficiency design helps minimize salt and water usage while still providing excellent performance.
Most importantly, Jeremy was available to answer questions both before and after the purchase. It's refreshing to work with a company that focuses on customer service and making sure you receive the correct system for your home.
If you're considering a water softener and carbon filtration system, I highly recommend Quality Water Systems and the SoftPro Elite HE. The equipment is high quality, the sizing process is simple, and the customer support has been outstanding.
I ordered 2 50lb bags of calcite and received 2 45lb bags of calcite. I reached out immediately and to date the issue still has not been resolved and it's been well over a month. The product itself is fine but the customer service in dealing with this issue has been terrible. DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING!!!
So I installed this system for a customer of mine the powerhead is exactly the same as the systems I have been installing for the last three years so that made it easy to set up. Ordering was easy and arrived in perfect condition very quickly. I will continue to purchase systems for future customers for my business,Flow pure water solutions. Thanks Russell
Great product. We have a well. We noticed an immediate difference in our water quality. Our water smells and taste great. Hopefully, it will last for years.
I’ve purchased three different systems from Quality Water Treatment over the years. The first two worked flawlessly, but this latest one has been a huge disappointment. They shipped the wrong items, and it took nearly six weeks to finally receive the correct filter. Even after installing it, the system still performs poorly. My 20‑year‑old aerator tank and small softener did a significantly better job than this brand‑new setup. Very unhappy with the product and the overall experience.
I like the system and I assume it is working, I checked chloramine levels after install and they were significantly lower.
The only complaint I have is wished product would specify or come with sediment filter for post unit. I did not, and plugged every appliance, sink, toilet in the house. I installed a sediment filter after unit and cleaned out all appliances. Problem solved.
Easy install ,good manual and easy setup .....I havent used it long enough but it seems to save salt ....its ultra quiet compared to my previous 20 year old softner (in regenerating cycl.).
Fairly easy installation. The book was good but the YouTube video of technician setting up the system was the best help.

Thanks for a great system.
Order shipped on a Thursday and received it on the next day! Super fast shipping and great communication. Installed by local plumber with no issues and the water was soft within 24 hours. Highly recommended!
This has been a nightmare. The UV tube as seen in the photo is very long and very thin, and then needs a longer and very fragile quartz sleeve to waterproof it.
After installation it did not work, so I removed the outer blue canister to access the sleeve and bulb. There is a metal housing with not much clearance from the quartz inside the blue canister. Removing it when filled with water and the sleeve and there was a wobble and I broke the sleeve and bulb- $130 to replace !!!
Installed the new bulb, pressed VERY FIRMLY in to the socket using leather gloves and leaving the bubble wrap in place. I tested before reinstalling the sleeve and canister and the bulb did not light after 10 minutes for "warmup". I then tested the outlet with an electrical tester and there is power. I checked the fuse with an ohmmeter and it is good.
I am now waiting for a response to my request for a new control module, as I can only guess it is the problem. I installed a bypass setup so I can at least use the basic filter/softener until this is resolved.
I would not recommend this, and am sorry we bought it. The bulb and sleeve are a nightmare to remove without breaking, and instructions say to clean the sleeve occasionally and you will eventually need to replace the bulb.
The design is not sufficiently robust, in my opinion, for the installation/replacement procedure and $130 if something breaks is a ripoff.
My previous water softeners (2 over 26 years) were Big Box low-end units, but this time I decided to upgrade to a commercial unit. Biggest problem was that the commercial unit resin tank + control box was too tall to fit in my crawl space on the existing concrete slab. My solution was to create a new lower foundation for the commercial unit. This was done by excavating enough dirt to place a small water trough supported by a bed of concrete into the ground near the water supply to the house.
I had to re-plumb the copper from a "left" to the softener (old location on the slab) to a "right" to the new softener location. The brine tank remains located on the original slab. The drain for regeneration was routed to the previous location via overhead PVC (~8" above the control unit exit spot) vs the old routing of a hose on the ground.
End result; wonderful tasting water. Visitors who also live on the same water supply system comment how different and good my water tastes compared to theirs.
The water in my house tastes and feels so clean! I love that I can now get fluoride out of my entire house along with all of the other harmful chemicals!
Just installed so time will tell if it holss up well. Appears to be descent quality. The installation instructions were very poorly written, maybe for an old model, so we're difficult to figure out.
Installation was very simple and straightforward. I installed my own bypass. The one question I had for them was answered very quickly and when I got disconnected, the support person gave me a cell phone number that I could text, which is pretty amazing.
So I think I can highly recommend this system and the company.

Fed Ex lost our softener media tank but confirmed it was delivered to our home, which it was not. Quality water sent a replacement at their expense. You can’t beat that. There also was an issue with the iron filter media tank and they walked me through correcting the problem with little effort on my part. I definitely give them an A+ for customer service. I am very pleased with the Softpro equipment. I am confident it is the right solution for the very high iron content we have in our well.
Very easy install up and running with two male 3/4 npt pipe thread connectors with two braided hoses. The easy of setting the SoftPro Eco 165 with only three settings, also now using a fraction of an amount of salt compared to last unit. Thanks, so much and God Bless. Timothy
We are getting on in life and did not flush this filter enough at first. Once that was done the water was softer, your hair was so easy to brush after washing. The water tastes very close to spring water. I feel very relieved to have this precaution for my family. Would definitely buy this again if we moved.
Thank you
We love our new iron filter! It’s great not to be scrubbing orange stains off of the shower, tub, sink, and toilet every other day, and our water no longer smells like iron since we installed the filter. The filter has lived up to our expectations completely.
The installation was straightforward and took about 4 hours.
I have the SoftPro RO and also whole-home water filter for over 2 years and I am happy with my purchase. The filters are easy to replace (my teenage son does it!). I feel confident drinking this water.
Long time customer of QWT. My first unit was a Fleck 7000 SXT bought early in 2006. It mostly ran without major issues, though I had to do some repairs. These were guided by the tech help at QWT!
In the last two months I determined the old Fleck was not functioning on the backwash cycle, and no longer softened my water. Then I went back to QWT and purchased a SoftPro® Elite High-Efficiency City Water Softener. It was a 32000 grain capacity and installation was reasonably easy. I have had it in service for about a month and no issues at all. It is performing well and it is great to have soft water once again.
QWT is my go to for any water treating solution, you should become a customer too!
Relatively straightforward install and setup. Used 3/4" FIP swivel (both ends) 24" flex for clean inlet & outlet connections. Unit works well and can definitely tell improvement in water quality.
I was skeptical with all the 5 star reviews and researched everything out there before ultimately deciding to just give it a whirl. After a few weeks of use, I can say I’m impressed. Getting soft water 24x7 and noticeably using less salt. I replaced a fleck 5600sxt that had the resin mush up. Rather than just replace the resin, I wanted something that would use less salt (hauling salt bags back and forth gets old quick).
Effective: 5/5 - have soft water from beginning to end of cycle. No periods of hard water between regens like I had with my fleck. My resin may have been defective so not knocking the fleck. The control head was flawless.
Efficient: 5/5 - regen appears to be using very little salt. Maybe 2 inch drop of salt in the brine tank per regen vs 3 to 4 with my previous system.
Build: 4/5 - resin tank is sleek and backlit control head is easy and user friendly. Took a point off for the brine tank. Compared to my previous one, the cylinder only has one spot at the bottom to secure it to the tank. My previous had top and bottom mounts for a more sturdy fit. Also no drain tube, but you could easily drill a hole and make one.
Overall, I love it. Time will tell how it lasts, but so far so good.
*if you have an existing softener and your water pressure drops, put it into bypass immediately and troubleshoot or buy new. About a week after my pressure drop, I had old resin beads coming out the faucets. No damage done, but took me ~10 hours to fully flush the water heater :(.
The entire transaction was a good experience. Your well designed website, allowed me to watch all your educational videos and therefore make an educated decision of what I needed to buy based on my town's water assessment . I reached out to your specialized department and reviewed my order with them prior to finalizing the purchase, which helped a lot. Within two to three weeks of placing the order, I received all of it. Even the monitoring of the shipment was easy to follow. I had a professional plumber installed it. When he was done installing it, he stated that I had acquired a very good system. I am very happy I decided to go through QWT and very content with the results.
